Deepika Padukone, who is riding high on the success of her films Ram Leela and Chennai Express has been roped in to endorse Coca Cola at a whooping amount of Rs 4 crore annually!
Coca Cola hasn’t been doing great business in India in comparison to its competitors, Thumps Up and Pepsi. Now, they have decided to change that by getting Deepika, who has been doing exceptionally well at the Box Office this year to endorse their drink.
Well, there is no doubt that Deepika is the face of the youth today and she has the ability to pull the young crowd to this brand. The leggy lass previously endorsed Pepsi and it was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who was the face of Coca Cola for six long years.
According to a research conducted by Coca Cola, they discovered that their sale in India has fallen to an all time low and by having Deepika Padukone as the face of their brand, they hope to revive their sale in the country.
We agree that it’s a smart move on the part of Coca Cola, but it remains to be seen if Dips will be able to convince them that paying her such a huge amount was indeed worthwhile!
