HBO releases a sneak peak into ‘Game Of Thrones’ season 4 entitled ‘A Foreshadowing’

The wait for ‘Game Of Thrones’ season 4 has just become a little sweeter. HBO has officially released a 15 minute preview to the next action packed season on the ‘Game Of Thrones’ YouTube channel. Much of the video, entitled ‘A Foreshadowing’ explains the new elaborate sets, the new characters and what the actors feel their characters might face.

The show’s executive producer and writer David Benioff explained that although people were shocked by ‘The Red Wedding’, a defining scene in season 3, this season contains twists of that magnitude throughout the entire season. He goes on to say, “Some of the most shocking and mind-blowing scenes of the entire series come at the end of this coming season, some very bloody confrontations.”

The HBO flagship show concluded its third season on June 9, 2013. It’s been almost a year since, and fans are hungry for more. The fourth season of the show which is based on George RR Martin’s ‘A Song Of Ice And Fire’, will pick up right where the third season left off, encompassing the events that transpired in both parts of the third book.

Most of the familiar faces will return including fan favourites, Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister, Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister, Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen, Kit Harington as Jon Snow, Iain Glen as Jorah Mormont, Aidan Gillen as Petyr ‘Littlefinger’ Baelish, Charles Dance as Tywin Lannister, Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark, Maisie Williams as Arya Stark, and Alfie Allen as Theon Greyjoy.

The much anticipated introduction of Prince Oberyn ‘The Red Viper’ Martell Will happen in this season. The character will be portrayed by Chilean actor Pedro Pascal. In addition Roger Ashton-Griffiths joins the cast as Mace Tyrell, Mark Gatiss will play Tycho Nestoris, and Hizdahr zo Loraq will be portrayed by Joel Fry. The new season as with the other seasons will introduce a wide number of new locations, characters and story-lines.
